Matthew was born in Durham in 1985. He lives with his brothers Stevie and Adam in a small town called Frosterley. It has lots of frost. And is cold!

He loves anything to do with turnips and can often be found wittling them into the shape of farmyard animals or musical instruments. He recently carved the entire Scottish orchestra out of oversized vegetables. He is yet to perfect a technique to preserve his amazing work so he is forced to mash them and donates the mash to hostels for homeless people.

Matthew won't tell us anything about his past. We know from searching Google that is prisoner number was MM198501. He particularly won't talk about his experiences in the war although he has always shown his gong.

He is a talented dancer but what got him into the band was his energy, good looks, ability and his mother's victoria sandwich cake.
