Fees for classes are based upon your Local Authority Direct payment hourly rate. Fees include teaching and support. (If extra support is needed this can be provided. Please contact us for details.) Please note: Fees do not include transport, snacks or meals but break drinks will be provided. If you are staying for a full day please bring a packed lunch. Many people with disabilities can now get Individual Budgets (paid in the form of a direct payment) from the government to help with their individual support and needs which they can use to pay for the stage schools.  Direct payments or an Individual Budget increases choice and quality, if you're paying someone directly you can be sure they will treat you as a customer! Director John Hails said; “Many young people with learning disabilities have little to do on a weekend and during the week. We are parents ourselves and it has always been hard to find good things that Charlotte is interested in and that she can take part in!”
Fellow Director and Charlotte's mother Lawraine Hails said; “We've been doing this now for twenty years and have repeatedly been asked to offer the same sort of service in other parts of the country. We are in the process of establishing four stageschools across the UK and the first is in Lincoln and the East Midlands! Charlotte has a direct payment from the government that helps her with her support. Many people are now able to access these direct payments and they can use them to pay for all sorts of things including the stageschools.”

Moveable Feast and their pop group MiXiT, which give their name to the stageschools, have performed all over Europe the UK. Lawraine added; “Having a child with learning disabilities gives you a real insight into what other people are going through and what they might need. Charlotte has been lucky but now hopefully many other people will be able to have the same sort of opportunities.”
